Closet Dilemma

Including today, I have 4 days off in a row from work. I'm really excited about working on my Day Zero list and getting a few things done.

This afternoon I decided to clean out my closet. All of my belongings that I drug out are now filling up my office area, hanging in other closets throughout the house, and stacked up on my bed. I have a feeling that I've bitten off more than I can chew.

Earlier this week, I started planning how I wanted to reorganize the closet. When I explained it to Ephram, my boyfriend the engineer, he said it wouldn't work because the clothes would be too heavy for the configuration I wanted.

So now I don't know what to do.

Sort through the clutter, and think of ways to organize everything while getting rid of things? Start disassembling the crappy shelves in the closet to get a better picture of how to organize? Start making a list of what I want out of this project? Make a list of things I feel like I need?

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is definitely more work than I thought it was going to be. Any advice from someone that's gone through this before? What's the best plan of attack?
