E and I have been together for 4 years and we are now engaged! We celebrated Valentines Day a little early and went out on Friday night, February 11th. We found this dinner cruise that looked interesting and thought we'd try it out. It wasn't what we were expecting. There was a buffet line, but you couldn't get seconds and the food wasn't anything to write home about.
We walked back to the car and E said he couldn't find his phone. I got out my phone to call his and locate it while thinking he better not have left his phone on the boat. The phone rang in his glove box, so I opened the glove box, grabbed the phone, and gave it to him. He asked me to open the glove box again. There in the shadows, because it wasn't lit up very well, I could see the outline of a box. Inside it was the ring I picked out several months earlier. :) He also wrote a note asking me to marry him next to the ring.
Who knew a blah dinner cruise could end so wonderfully!
